From Charleston, South Carolina comes a new socially conscious textile design company called Proud Mary that’s turning hand woven and sewn textiles made by artisans in Guatemala into beautiful home and fashion accessories. I saw the collection—comprised or pillows, neckties, and handbags—in person at the Afia launch party, held at Guilded Studios in New York City—where we got the scoop on Meghan Sebold’s Spring/Summer 2011 capsule collection—and one look at those luscious pillows in vibrant patterns and colors, above, is enough to have me hooked.
